“Code, Create, Innovate: Exploring Computer Science”
Welcome to Code, Create, Innovate! — a hands-on computer science class designed just for junior high students was added to the 8th grade elective list this year. In this class, students discover the power of technology through creative projects that blend coding, design, and problem-solving. Ms. Anderson's class designed some impressive prototypes and had fun using all they have been introduced to in the world of coding with their first project "Secrets and Safes."

Sept Student of Month
Third grade student Henry Wells earned the title of Principal for the Day at Memorial Elementary. Principal Wells had a very busy day. He started his day with morning recess duty, followed by the morning announcements, meetings, classroom walk-throughs, a trip to the Coffee Can and the district office to check the mail and meet the ladies who work in the office, radioing Mr. Vinnie for assistance, and helping a preschool friend get on the bus. He enjoyed McDonald's for lunch and ended his day as crossing guard. When he was asked if he wants to be a principal when he grows up he said, "No. There's too many meetings and phone call." Great job today Principal Wells. Principal for the Day was an auction item at the Tornado Open Golf Outing sponsored by the Sports Boosters.

🌟 Principal for a Day at North School! 🌟

Congratulations to Remy Reber, who won the raffle at the Tornado Open hosted by the Taylorville Sports Boosters and spent the entire day as Principal for a Day! 👩‍🏫✨

Remy shadowed Mr. Cunningham and jumped right into the role. She helped with morning arrival, made rounds to check on teachers, enjoyed a coffee stop at The Coffee Can, lent a hand at recess duty, and even squeezed in a little PE fun. She tackled office work, grabbed lunch at McDonald’s, checked mail at the unit office, and helped with dismissal at the end of the day.

Remy did an amazing job. She was respectful, responsible, and grateful for the experience. What an incredible day of leadership at North! 💜💛
