Mrs. Mateer had Mrs. Reindl in her classroom last week to work with students on creating a drawing or Canva image so students could print their image using the glow forge. Students created keychains. They were then taught how to use the glow forge and got to watch the glow forge laser some of their keychains.

To celebrate Earth Day Mrs. Vicker's class went on a nature scavenger hunt! The class had a fun time searching for items found in nature.

Thank you for an amazing FFA Banquet! We had a record audience of 364! Thank you TommyTV for the live broadcast; FACS for the cookie desserts; Taylorville FFA Alumni for the support; numerous community supporters for over $14,000 in memorial scholarships; and the parents, guests, and community that supported us in numerous ways throughout the year! A huge thank you to Stonington Community Center for allowing us to utilize the gym for our banquet!

Attention THS Students:
Prom tickets will be sold before school and during each lunch hour until Thursday. No tickets will be sold on Friday. Tickets cost $20 and incentive winners are $15. Guest passes are needed if they do not attend THS (available in the main office)

Today, I cashed in my hard-earned 250 ClassDojo points to be Miss Hancock (Third-Grade Teacher) for the day! I earned points by consistently completing homework and classwork, tackling the daily challenge questions, showing good behavior, and always leading by example. It took a lot of dedication and effort, but it's a great feeling to see all that hard work pay off!

Congratulations to Maverick Courtaway, Sarah Wagner, and Grace Mizeur as they recorded the highest possible scores on their Illinois Assessment of Readiness and earned a $50 gift card. Thank you to our TJHS STUCO for sponsoring our system of incentives as well.

Last Saturday, April 19th, The THS Bass Fishing Team competed in the Glenwood Bass Fishing Invite at Lake Sangchris. While it was not ideal weather, student anglers enjoyed their first tournament of the 2025 fishing season. Thank you to all of the volunteers that donate energy, time, and boats to make the THS Fishing Team possible.
