First grade students learned how to use MobyMax after the teacher inservice on Wednesday. It's always nice to see technology at work in the classrooms. Mrs. Thomas, instrucational coach, also assisted a kindergarten class in learning how to log in to some apps on their iPads. It was a great day to be a North Tornado!

Our first Tornado Futures meeting was held yesterday! We had 9 representatives of the Health Care field presenting to 60 students about the Health Care field. Representatives included: Sarah McNeely, Heather Owens, Joletta Hill, Kyra Havera, Kelsey LeVault, Pat Schneider, Sharon Bangert, Bill Beyers, and Alan Freedman.

Third graders are participating in a STEM bridge building challenge this week. They read the story "Pop's Bridge" and were challenged by Ms. Specha to build a bridge 12 inches long that is capable of holding the weight of 100 pennies. Many interesting designs were chosen by the classes today.
