Our kindergarteners are making the last week of school extra special with a fantastic Disney Day celebration! There were so many adorable characters and happy faces. It's truly been a year to remember with these amazing kids!





Bubble Trouble (the good kind) -- The first graders in Mrs. Haselhorst's class had an absolute blast today learning the art of bubble blowing! Lots of giggles, a few proud "I did it!" moments, and definitely some sticky fingers. It's the simple joys that make learning so much fun! It was the perfect way to finish the last week of school!

Students in Miss Johnson's class celebrated Star Wars Day on May 4th. They enjoyed a full day of Star Wars themed activities.

Incoming Freshman Parents: Mark your calendars for this year's Tornado Drill. It's scheduled for August 7th, 2025 from 8:30AM-12:30PM.


Nancy Warren, TJHS cafeteria worker, Dan Nieves, 8th grade history, teacher and Shelli OBrien, special education teacher will all be retiring at the end of the school year. Together they have served the district for over 70+ years. They will all be missed dearly. Congratulations and best wishes on your new adventures!


Mark your calendars for this back to school Health and Wellness fair at the Taylorville YMCA. This event is hosted by Taylorville Memorial Hospital.


The Tiny Tornadoes from central school went for their Kindergarten visits at the end of the school year. They enjoyed checking out their new building and seeing where they will go to learn.

What a way to wrap up the school year! Our Student Council’s End-of-the-Year Luau was a huge success — filled with sunshine, laughter, and unforgettable memories. 🎉
A big THANK YOU to the Taylorville Fire Department for filling up our dunk tanks with the warmest water possible, Noonan’s Rental for providing the inflatables and dunk tank that brought the fun all day long, and our amazing cafeteria workers who had burgers and hot dogs ready to go for our students!
We’re so grateful to our incredible staff and students for making the day one to remember, and an extra special SHOUT OUT to our Student Council members who showed up early and helped make everything run smoothly. Your hard work made this celebration possible!

Mrs. Grant’s first graders had class had the privilege of having a student worker in our classroom this year. Senior Kyleigh Heimsness helped out in our room each morning. Both the students and Mrs. Grant greatly appreciated her! We wish her all the best as she begins her college career at Millikin University!
