
Congratulations to this week's Tornado Appreciation Award winners! This week's winners are Addison Stonecipher and Dustin Smith. Addison was nominated by Mrs. Sorrill for helpfulness with staff and peers. Dustin was nominated by Mrs. Tanner for his positive attitude and work ethic. Congratulations to Addison and Dustin!


Mrs. Fassero's 7th Grade Science students revealed the hidden colors of leaves in their chromatography experiment.





Mrs. Porter and Mrs. Wolfe have had their computer science classes in the THS stem lab with Mrs. Reindl the last two weeks. On the z-space they were learning about the engineer design process. Then they were learning to CAD on their chromebooks. We have began 3D printing their CAD projects.





Ms. Specha brought squishy circuit pumpkins to the first grade classrooms over the last few days. Students used special types of dough, a 9 volt battery, and an LED light bulb to complete a circuit and light up the stems of their pumpkins. #STEMinfirstgrade #squishycircuits




North School staff wore gold today in honor of those fighting childhood cancer, especially our former student Trevor!

Attention North and Memorial Elementary Families: If your child signs up for a school lunch on Halloween, they will get an extra sweet treat!


Mrs. Reindl went into 5th grade and worked with students on being a digital superhero - knowing what to do when they or someone they know is being cyber bullied. Students created their own digital super citizen.




Mrs. Salmon's 7th grade class went into the stem lab and did BIOMES activity on the zspace machines. They also completed a desert activity on the Oculus, while other students worked on the website that Mrs. Reindl created on various biomes activities.

Anthony Aldridge, from the Six Flags Operational Division, spoke to Mrs. Porter’s Computer Concepts class today about roller payers design.


Kindergarteners practiced their engineering skills by creating shapes from pumpkins and toothpicks during a Fall themed STEM lesson.





2nd graders in Miss Evans's class loved making catapults and collecting data on their predictions. Special thanks to Ms. Specha for coming in today!
