Meet Mrs. Raimee Craggs, our Red Apple recipient for the month of January at TJHS. Mrs. Craggs makes a positive difference in the lives of her students and peers each day. She really enjoys seeing the progress students make as they learn new concepts. Her favorite time of year is Christmas Eve with the whole family together and her favorite book is "The Outsiders." Mrs. Craggs teaches 6th and 7th grade English Language Arts. Thank you for your tireless dedication.
Our January support staff member of the month is Nurse Lindsay Fox. Mrs. Fox balances her wonderful family with dedicated service to our students and staff each day. She bandages the scrapes, works through the crazy paperwork associated with nursing, and manges to bring a vibrant sense of humor with her each day. She is not afraid of a challenge and is currently taking classes toward her Masters Degree in Nursing Education. Her fondest memory is the birth of her son and somewhat ironically, her favorite book is "The Silent Patient." Thank you Nurse Fox for always going the extra mile to take care of us all.

TJHS IESA Tryout Dates 24-25: Cheer will take place April 29, 2024-May 3, 2024 (7th & 8th only).

Last night, the Smith Family's home caught fire and is a total loss. Thankfully, they are all safe and no one was hurt. Taylorville High School will be donating tonight's gate money from the boys' basketball game directly to the family. THS Sports Boosters are collecting monetary donations at tonight's basketball game as well, to help ease their burden. This family is very important to THS and to THS sports. There will be a Donation chest marked on the gate table for donations tonight. We appreciate any and all donations made.

The TJHS Superbowl contest winner is Ava Herpstreith. She predicted the Chiefs would win and was only one point off the final score. Thank you Mr. Peabody for the superbowl fun contest and to all of our TJHS kiddos that joined in the game.

The TJHS Builders Club is sponsoring a Valentines for Seniors Card Drive. These and many other TJHS students created beautiful cards with messages of love, hope, and kindness to show assisted-living and residents in our long-term care facilitities that we are thinking of them. The Builders Club sponsor is Mr. Lynn Dexheimer and we are gratful for his service, as well as that of our future leaders. What a GREAT day to be a Tornado!
