This morning, Mrs. May took her Child Care Occupation class on an exciting field trip to Central School Preschool. The purpose of this visit was to gain valuable experience and knowledge about preschool development. During the visit, high school students had the opportunity to interact with preschool students through various fun activities. These interactions not only helped the high schoolers learn about child development but also allowed them to engage with the younger children in a meaningful way. A huge thank you goes out to the following teachers for hosting our class and making this experience possible: Mrs. Bryan, Mrs. Held, Mrs. West, Mrs. McKee, and Mrs. Waters. Your efforts in creating a welcoming environment for our students are greatly appreciated! Both the high school students and the preschoolers had a fantastic time together. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone involved, and we look forward to more experiences like this in the future!

Mrs. Hooper's 2nd graders had an exciting first experience with coding and discovery using the Sphero Indi robots! Ms. Reiser had students explore the basics of problem-solving and sequencing as they guided their robots through different color-coded paths. This hands-on activity sparked creativity and teamwork, providing a fun introduction to computational thinking. It’s just the beginning of their coding adventures! 🚗💡

Mrs. Cope’s Class Explores the Science of Fall! Mrs. Cope’s class recently dove into a fun Mystery Science lesson exploring why leaves change colors in the fall. Students learned about the seasonal changes that cause leaves to transition into vibrant hues. To extend the lesson, the class also created beautiful leaf rubbings, using real leaves to capture their unique shapes and textures. It was a hands-on way to connect science with art and appreciate the wonders of nature! 🍂

Memorial School’s DOJO Store is Open for Business! Today was Memorial School’s DOJO Store, where students had the opportunity to spend the points they earned by being respectful, responsible, and safe. Through their positive behavior, students accumulate DOJO points, which they can use to shop at the store as a reward for their efforts. Here’s a look at Ms. Jett’s class enjoying their shopping experience and celebrating their hard work! Keep up the great behavior, everyone! 🎉🛍️

Our 3rd graders participated in the Land of Smiles assembly, presented by Delta Dental this morning, where they learned all about the importance of proper dental hygiene. Through fun and engaging activities, students discovered how to take care of their teeth, the benefits of regular brushing and flossing, and the impact of a healthy smile on overall well-being. It was a fantastic way to reinforce healthy habits in a fun, memorable way!
