Re: School Safety Update
From: Dr. Chris Dougherty, Superintendent

Taylorville High School has been released from a soft lockdown after police and administration responded to a message that was found on a bathroom stall threatening that a school shooter was in the school with a gun. The Taylorville Police Department and Christian County Sheriff’s Department responded and assisted with the investigation and search. The student who wrote the message has been identified and removed from campus. Our students and staff have resumed normal activities.

We take school safety very seriously. Thank you to the Taylorville Police Department and Christian County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance. Safety and the security of our students and staff is our top priority.
